We have been socked in with humidity, dreariness, and the requisite puddles of condensation and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future.
There are two good things about this type of weather: 1) I have a built in excuse for not doing my hair, and 2) I don’t have to shovel humidity. Beyond those bright spots, drizzle and damp does occasionally lend itself to the interesting image, all melancholy and ethereal – also known as water droplets and gloom.
As I have done for years now, come February, I will dream about moving south. South. Like Louisiana south. It would mean swapping a few months of face-aching cold for continuous sweat, I know, but in New Orleans you can order adult beverages To Go. There may even be margarita drive thrus, but that could be an urban legend so don’t quote me. Then, as it has done for years now, come summer, in settles the Maine humidity.
To Go cups aside, I am staying put. At least for now.
