The rest of the story:
Life. That is the rest of the story. The past few years have been a bit bumpy around the Joles household, but as many people believe – things happen for a reason.
As many of our friends know, we closed the studio several years ago due to Chris’ illness, what we later discovered to be chronic Lyme Disease. Check for ticks, people! Lyme Disease can turn your life upside down. With that said, as he recovers, Chris is out of commission. He is still around, as he is able, for moral support and comic relief, but I am now the photographer here at Joles Photography.
This decision did not come easily. Big surprise. I am a no nonsense sort of gal when it comes right down to it. The only way I was going to step up and make this happen was if we designed a photography studio where I would want to go.
My ideal portrait studio? I want it all, and I want it to be simple, fun, and affordable.
Simple: Create high-quality, timeless images. Classic portrait work with an updated fee is what I want, and that is what I strive to deliver in every shoot.
Fun: Life is short, you might as well enjoy yourself. We spend time with clients to learn their style and hear their ideas – then we get busy, laugh, and capture fantastic photos with real smiles and happy memories of the session.
Affordable: We are a 100% digital studio. No prints, just hi-res images so clients can print whatever and wherever they choose. Technology can be a beautiful thing and save clients cash.
And there you have it. I told you I was a no nonsense sort of gal.
