More Hayden? Yes, lots more teeny, tiny, baby Hayden coming at you to melt heart and drive away the winter blues.
Hayden is now just over one month old. He’s done a lot in his first month on the planet – he’s had his first County Christmas, met all sorts of family and friends, and completely charmed his way into everyone’s hearts.
Saturday was his first studio session at Joles Photography. Still itty-bitty and new, Hayden was a champ. And so were his parents! Let’s just say that Amy and Sean win the Keep Calm and Carry On award as far as I’m concerned.
I’m working for a collection of images of Hayden’s first year so that family near and far can see how he is changing. And that adorable little naptime scowl. (I am told he wears this squinched up expression a lot and isn’t just saving it for when I am around.) For this session I really wanted a family studio portrait. While parents never forget just how small their baby once was, it is important to have the proof in black and white. “Yes, Hayden, you really did fit in the crook of Daddy’s arm once.”
And that hat. I love that hat!
You see, back in Chapman, the James Brothers farmed with Internationals. I can still hear the sound of Dad driving the old Farmall through the back driveway, stopping to let me climb up and steer. Eventually, when my feet could touch, he taught me to drive. I’m sure Hayden’s mom has similar memories with her dad. So the tractor on this little hat – red as can be – is sort of special to James girls like Amy and me. Not to mention that it looks adorable on Hayden!
Stay tuned, Hayden fans! He’ll be back again soon.
